I have "Cobra" m/f towels and I can was them for like 4 cycles but can't get the little grass and random clippings that magically become attached to them off. Do I need to get a tweezer to get them out? Or order new ones?

I use tweezers to get the little things out before the wash.

How did it get there in the first place? If you don't want to go through the aggravation of removing them with a tweezer than new ones are in order.

I did a little test tonight... Used about 3 ounces of Microfiber Restore, and about a ounce of Dawn Power Dissolver in my washer. Got them really clean. The DPD got some grease out of my towels too. Sprayed let sit 30 seconds, agitated and it was clean. Love that stuff.

Which brings me to a question. What would you recommend for a OTC wash for microfiber if you can't get some microfiber specific detergent for a few days (like sine I ran out tonight, and will need some tomorrow)

I use a dedicated MF towel cleaner like DP or Microrestore without issue for cleaning properly. Some suggest adding vinegar which works like bleach and degrades fabric, no way here.

As for grass clippings, you will have to manually remove them from towels. Keeping them free of all other laundry (including reg towels) and sealing well till next use will help. I have a small cupboard especially for MF towels only.

Woolite when low on Microrestore or DP (just tried it. very good.)

Agreed with not using Vinegar with towels cotton or microfiber they don't perform/absorb nearly as well after using vinegar.
