How to Hand Polish a car?

So I've seen videos on polishing cars but most of them are by machine :/ How would I be able to polish my car by hand?

it takes more skill to polish a car by hand than with a machine

sometimes you have no choice when it comes to inaccessible places like under the door handles but it's not something you'd enjoy doing to an entire car.
