OK all, I see discussion about bird bombs all the time. I pulled into my garage today with the intent to clean the accumulated bugs off the front of my car, and found this. How do I handle THIS bird bomb?

Not too many options. Just pry the poor thing out of there and clean accordingly.....

At least you didn’t hit him head on. I hit a black bird head on and he buried his beak through the radiator (yup had to buy a new radiator)

Better than kissing a pheasant @ 60MPH. Can you say, "Good bye windshield?"

Yes, scared the s**t outa me.

Bill,

A coworker had a turkey vulture hit his windshield square on going about 45 MPH, with a newer (2016?) Silverado. Bird hit only the windshield. In addition to the windshield, the roof needed replaced.

Funny, he used the same phrase you are.

At dawn, I often see birds swoop in front of my car for bugs in the headlight beams. I'm sure this bird lacked the spatial reasoning to keep assured clear distance.

I hit two geese rounding a bend one time and one of them left a beak in my front bumper of an TL I had back in the day. 2" long and into the plastic. Wasn't pretty.

From my aviation background I am all too familiar with bird strikes. Yup, they suck.

15 years ago. I was flying around a big bend on the highway on my Harley, and a Wild turkey flew up outta the ditch and knocked me off my bike at 65 mph. I pretty near didn’t make it. I’m lucky to be here today. I hate birds!!!
