Hello everyone,
I have a question, I am a detailer... and I want to make my car as shiny as it could get.
As seen in my picture I have a white metallic Subaru BRZ...

Yes guys, I know that for the best shine you should Wet sand and Polish and then some jeweling to make the paint bright...

I already did those steps, and Now I want to make my Car Super shiny and protected ( that it won't just go off after a few days and won't come back even after a good wash ).

I currently Own almost every Product available, and I don't mind using the best ones...

I have Swissvax concours and Shield.
I have many types of Glazes
Many types of sealants...

I have coatings ( Like Opti coat ).

Now, My question is ( and please don't answer if you don't know the answer. ):
What would be the perfect combination? :hungry:

Would 2 Coats of Glaze do any better then just the 1 ?

Would a coat of Opti coat would make the paint More impressive?

If I would apply 3 Coats of wax would I really see a difference?

If I apply more then 1 coat of sealant?.... you get the idea :xyxthumbs:

>_< Greedy Much >_< What's the best example you ask me? If a detailer has a dirty car... Well would You rather see a nice detailed car or a dirty one from your detailer ? ( Not really a question ).

Thank you guys, I am waiting for your answers, I will post pictures after the massive Application series... Im the MAN :buffing::buffing:

So IMO - if you are that obsessed with "the most shiny paint possible" you shouldn't have bought a white car! lol obviously darker paint appears to have more of a deep, shiny, glossy finish... white is simply bright and pure, which still looks great IMO, but it will never have the same type of depth and gloss as a darker color.

With that being said, once you have the surface defect free, it is all about increasing the slickness of the paint. I find that glaze helps tremendously with this step. I prefer CG EZ Creme Glaze (have only ever done 1 coat, so idk if 2 would be beneficial), follow this up with your favorite sealant and/or carnauba.

There is no 100% guaranteed maximum glossy formula that you are hoping to find... especially on white paint.

Don't get me wrong... white can look amazing...

^Corrected, then EZ-Creme Followed by Black Light

it is just never quite as impressive as a dark color...

Well I would go with 22ple as my base coat and the the swissvax on top of that.

Ok Let me change what I wrote, I want the paint to be AS shiny as it could get / the paint will POP / the paint will look deep.... And so on...
I want the paint to be REALLY impressive...

Would a large number of coats change and make the car look nicer? or is that just a rumor ?
would OPTI Coat, Glaze then Sealant then Wax ( would opti coat change and make the car look nicer and deeper ? ).

thanks man! waiting for some more answers :hungry::hungry:

I personally wouldn't top a coating with anything, as you aren't likely to get much life out of whatever you top it with... 22ple is a great product on its own though.

If you want the ability to really experiment and build up layers of multiple products, I would start with a layer of glaze as a base, followed by 2 coats of sealant (with appropriate time left for curing in between layers), followed by a layer or 2 of carnauba.

That is 5-6 layers of product... anything more than that would seem pointless to me, but that is just my opinion and I have no experience to base that on... I just feel like you get to a point where there will be no visible difference no matter how many layers or products you use.

That's exactly what I thought to do actually... Great minds think alike :xyxthumbs:

I have a few good sealants what would you think to use?
Wolfgang Deep gloss paint sealant ( I was told this is Menzerna Powerlock ).
Polish Angel Master sealant ( Handmade product like Swissvax ).

Now I have a few Glazes:
CG Mirror Wet ( I Think I might choose this ).
Poorboys glaze for white cars
CG glossworkz
Clearkote Glaze
I have a few more... Forgot the name...

My Plan:
Stripping my Paint
Glaze - 1 Coat ( What should I use? Mirror wet ? )
Sealant ( Thinking of Polish Angel ) - 2 Coats
Wax - Swissvax Concours - 2 Coats

IMO...
Sealants give the best-looks/"pop" on White vehicles
that have been "totally-corrected", as you have done.

I currently Own almost every Product available...
By any chance...Do you have any of Zaino's products?

(Some folks have claimed that they have applied upwards
of 20-25, or more, "Z"-sealant film-layers upon their vehicles.)

However...If no "Z" is readily available...

I'd go with another acrylic-sealant such as:
-The Klasse Twins (probably CarLack 68 products in Israel)
-Werkstat Acrylic Jett (Germany sourced)

Wolfgang DGPS also is an excellent sealant!
So is Menzerna Powerlock.

Thank you guys, I will take care of my car tomorrow and the day after if needed.
I will give each Coat at least 2 Hours to Cure in

You seem like you pretty much got it down. Glaze, 2x sealant, 2x wax. If i was nuts ill do 2x glaze too. If i was nuts and desperate ill do 3x glaze even if its a waste. Btw, I believe if apply opti coat it will reject anything that goes on top within a week. Do it and keep us update with pictures. I would love to see the final result.

I'll stick to the same thing I've been saying for years now no matter what the color of the car...

Gloss starts first with a smooth surface...

I think it's safe to say if the paint is glossy it's also shiny...

:xyxthumbs:

That's what I said, I want EXTRA :hungry::hungry::hungry:

2 coats of each Glaze, Sealant and Wax Would do the trick?
or just 1 coat of glaze?
or 3 Coats of wax? What would u SAY if I want to be really Annoying about it... Im the MANIm the MANIm the MAN

Looks awesome but No glaze?

I already Placed my Sealant and I said to my self... AHH...
And I thought that I might just place the glaze then another coat of sealant... but I didn't do it in the end...

Took me 12 HOURS and i did it in my shop, and I couldn't go out for 12 HOURS!!
3 Hours for the superfine Polish
20Min Sealant + 2 Hour wait + 20 min sealant
2Hour wait + 20 min wax + 2 Hours wait + 20Min wax......

And Add the time to remove wax and clean the car.... Ouch this was Really hard.... I don't really recommend this, and I am a detailer...

I am currently testing how long wax actually stays on the 22ple. I have wax on half of my hood and half of my doors. There is no huge visible difference but maybe on a darker colored car it would make a difference. Wax normally last 6-8 weeks on my car since its parked outside. Only time will tell.

Took me 12 Hours....
Finishing Polish again, Then 2 Coats sealant ( 2 Hours wait before 2nd coat ) and 2 coats of Swissvax ( 2 hours wait before 2nd coat ).

Looks good! Here's the picture so everyone can see it without having to click a link...

Were you able to use any of the things you learned at our detailing boot camp class when you did this project?

:)

wont it still bead though when the wax wears off? (22ple underneath)
