How To: Maximize Time with a Cleaner Wax/AIO

Amazing how much dirt accumulation a garage can save you.

Nice turnaround on the truck. You didn't mention using the DG601 bonding agent with the 501. If not using 601, how long do you need to wait to add the XMT Carnauba, or any other topper, on top of the 501? I had the same question when I read about AIO use on the oxidized Corolla linked to in this thread ....

Thanks!

I've got two family cars to do back in FL soon and an AIO is the way to go because of time constraints they are daily drivers living outside 24/7. I was thinking Dodo Juice but this has my attention. One is in pretty bad shape and I may need something a little more agressive.

Whats the deal with using a bonding agent?

Go to the store page and look up DG products. Good info there.
DG says that the PBA (polish bonding agent) should be used before all of their polishes.
Normally folks use one part DG601(PBA) with 4 parts DG (any polish) and apply in one setting.
It streamlines the system and is supported by the people at DG.
601 is part of their polish system and it's a really good system.

Interesting that it works when mixing the bonding agent to 501 and applying in one step. I would not have tried it that way.

If this was the most neglected finish you ever worked on (nick) why didn't you guys use the cyan cutting pad? I am under the impression the tangerine pad is a polishing pad. So i don't have tons of experience but if i think a finish is neglected i usually grab a stronger pad instead of a stronger chemical. Should i use a stronger chemcial like 501 with a polish pad instead of d151 with a cutting pad? thanks

Here are some quick pics from last weekend when I did the 501/601 to my Bonneville. I topped it with CG Extreme Top Coat. I think the DG combo made that color really GLOW. Thats the only way I can describe it. Havent had much time/weather to see how it holds up. I can tell you after a week it is still glowing like it did the first day. Very impressed with the ease of application and results of this combo!!! If it ever rains Ill get you all a beading shot.
