How to protect cars front end form road stones etc

my daily commute is over 100 miles on the highway.. lots of rock kickup..

the hood looked terrible on my last car.

i've racked up almost 12k miles in the last few months.. not a chip or ding yest.. (knock on pressed wood)
 
My cars front end is covered in chips, Driving in the Mnts. and on the freeway really does a number on your car.
