how to put on llc pads?

today i tried using my 7424 pad for the first time and wanted to put on my llc pads, but i dont know how? my buffer already has a white pad stuck on it, so do i just put the pad under the one that came with the buffer? thanks in advance and sorry for the noob question

You will have to buy a backing plate that is smaller than the pad that you got bought. For example you get a 5.5" pad you would need a 5" backing plate. The backing plate has Velcro on it so it can attach to the pad you have bought. The white had that came with the PC is junk and is attached to the screw that goes into the polisher. Check out the backing plate section of AG for the 7424

You need a velcro backing plate for your lc pads. The white pad that came with the pc is not a backing plate, but a polishing pad. What size lc pads do you have?

i have 5.5.... i thought my kit came with one but i guess not =( gotta wait another week or so to do my detail

You will need this backing plate then:

lake country 5 inch backing plate, 5 inch backin plate, 5 inch hook and loop backing plate
