How to remove black marks on A pillar

I have a 2010 VW Jetta Wolfsburg and there are some black marks on the A pillar. How would I go about removing them? It seems to be similar to the material of the headliner. I used spot shot in precious vehicles but is there something the pros recommend??

I have great success with Megs APC sprayed on a terry cloth towel then lightly scrub the area. Spots/soiling on VW A pillars are usually very easy to clean off.
 
I have light grey cloth A Pillars -- which received greasy finger prints recently. Surf City Dash Away cleaned it up no problem. 100% safe. (You can also buy at your local WalMart now)
