I'm curious to know how to tell if your leather seats are sealed. I've used some of the best and more expensive treatments but they don't seem to be getting any more supple. I think they may be treated and thus not absorbing.

They are of a from a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata.

It's likely coated leather. In fact, I'd bet the farm (if I had a farm). You can tell by putting a few drops of DI water on it and see if the water sits on the surface or gets absorbed. "Conditioning" leather is all hocus pocus to me. That being said, for whatever reason many have had great results with the Leatherique system. But, that is putting a massive amount of their Rejuvenator into the seat, and letting it sit wet until it at least some of it is getting absorbed. It seems to work for for leather in pretty bad shape.

Plus 1 for using a drop of water. If it stays pooled it's coated.

If it is uncoated leather (think King Ranch) the drop of water will be absorbed into the leather.

Thanks guys. It is coated. I have been using Leatherique. Does a very nice job on the steering wheel, shift and ebrake boots. Makes the car smell good too. LOL
