How To Use The Cyclo Polisher
About Cyclo Polishers
Cyclo polishers are risk free, even for first time users. With their dual, counter-rotating, and oscillating buffing heads, you cannot burn the paint or instill swirls. Cyclo polishers are the easiest polishers to control, even with one hand. They are vibration-free and lightweight. No other tool even comes close. Plus, they are versatile. You can polish paint, scrub carpets, and even leather seats. Cyclo polishers offer legendary durability.
You use a Cyclo Polisher pretty much like any other dual action polisher and that is,
Here's my demo truck, an extremely neglected Chevy Tahoe that's been repainted at one time in it's life. This truck sit outside 24 x 7 and rarely if ever receives any exterior maintenance including washing.
There's water spot stains and oxidation with light swirls and scratches...
Close-up - the paint actually has a texture to it it's so rough...
First up I'm going to remove the above surface bonded contaminants using Detailer's Universal Detailing Clay and Universal Clay Lube.
Using lots of clay lube as the finish is like asphalt...
The contaminants are just off this one section of paint...
Here's what I'm going to use, the Cyclo Pro Model 5 Variable Speed Polisher with Yellow Foam Cutting Pads and Green Polishing Pads.
The yellow foam cutting pads are primed and I've placed a couple of drops of product on each pad...
Here I'm making slow, overlapping passes in two different directions on the 5 speed setting which is the highest speed setting.
Front to back...
Side to side...
Next up I will polish the same section at the same speed setting using the same technique...
Next I'm going to machine apply the wax only I'm turning the speed setting down a little...
The tool is well balanced, lightweight and easy to use even with one hand...
Laying down a thin coat...
I let the Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Carnauba Wax dry till it swipes clear...
Then carefully wipe the wax off using good technique...
Now carefully pull the tape-off at an angle...
Here's before and after results...

If I were to continue buffing out this hood I would probably divide it up into sections along these lines....
Here's the extent of the products I used. I kept it simple and restored the paint to as good or better than after it was painted...

- Divide larger sections of a panel into smaller, more manageable sections.
- Buff out one section at a time using overlapping passes and a crosshatch pattern
- After you finish one panel move onto the next panel
