Looks like a nasty storm is headed for the East coast. Stay safe everyone

I spent all day in Hurricane planning mode. That is code for lets all freak out and dust off the plans. She has taken a turn to the west it appears and will avoid my area. It looks like the Carolina's are ground zero again.

I was unfortunate enough to go through Hugo and Andrew. Both storms literally almost killed me. For those of you in the target area that have not gone through a Hurricane let me offer some sage advice: When they tell you to evacuate, GET THE HELL OUT! Save your butts...your "stuff" aint worth it.

My prayers are with those along the coast and I am standing by to offer whatever assistance I can.

Its all over the news here, we got almost 2 inches of rain this past weekend.

The way she wobbles, Florida ain't in the clear yet !

Good point Scott. This morning we were looking at a direct hit to the Jax area. Then not. Then maybe. Who says Mother Nature has to conform to computer models. All of us in Florida should always be prepared.

All you need to survive a hurricane is a blue raincoat and a microphone, just ask Jim Cantore. I got mine out of the closet this morning, I'm ready if it hits Savannah.

Looks like when it hits the Carolina's it's "supposed" to veer away from the East Coat and head out to sea....Stay Safe everyone :props:

up graded to cat 2 100 mph winds, We live about 25 mile from daytona beach and it hopefully will pass out to sea....but the waves will be big and that means I will be headed for the beach after to metel detect
gold coins that wash up because of the wave action.....

I hope of everyone on the east coast that it turns out to sea and misses the east coast.....

Tom

Don't you mean "if" it hits the Carolinas?

Cool and it dropped 7 MB

At the moment, the center of the path looks similar to Hurricane Fran where it crossed near NC/SC and headed north with the left side going over Raleigh at near maximum strength...what a mess.

Those guys must think they are totally invincible. I mean really....we can see the radar and know the weather is bad...we don't need to see you almost getting blown away to believe you.

Oh well...those people are just stupid.

I would love to be one of those "stupid" people. I would love to be a storm chaser running after tornado's, wish I had got into it when I was younger.

Looks like the coast is gonna get hit hard. I'm just north of Philadelphia, if your in its path please be careful. I'm sure the gas stations and grocery stores are gonna be mobbed. You see how east coasters act when theirs a small earthquake

Initially I thought the rumble we had the other day was my stomach telling me it was time for lunch...

Hurricane, this is just a bit of a breeze that will clear some the air hanging around....Just the changing f seasons is all that's happening.

I hope and pray this storm continues to turn Eastward. Stay safe everyone
