Autogeek,
Today I was cleaning a post accident repaired car at my body shop so it's tidy for the customer coming to pick it up. It felt too clean and there was dressing on the doors, first signs of it being detailed. Then I popped the engine, it looked brand new.
The car was clearly detailed and the dressing the detailer used on the engine bay was phenomenal. It was a little greasy, but also when I rubbed my glove against the dressed surfaced, my hand left no trace of playing with it. Most dressings that I've used need to be applied uniformly to look good and avoid streaking. I guess this means that it was well absorbed by the plastic. There are pictures below, any idea what product it might be? It was a clear gel on my gloves when I found deposits of it if that helps. If I can I.D. I will most definitely be placing an order of it. Thanks!!

I figured it'll be a shot in the dark but maybe something similar will surface!!

Best bet, IMO:
Is there some way to trace it back to the
Person that did the detail?

Bob

Not so much, car was picked up at the end of the day. On top of that, I don't have contact with the customers as I am on the floor.

Sonus Motor Kote maybe?

Nope. That dries and isn't greasy as the product stated is.

Probably just a production dressing. While it looks good, as soon as some dust and dirt stick to it, it will be a greasy mess.

Seems like CD2 is being mentioned more than the others. What exactly does the abbreviation stand for?

CD2 Engine Detailer.

Use it after the engine room is all clean and pretty to give it a nice (not to much) shine and sparkle.

No longer made...grumble grumble. Was a pretty good product.
