Hi everybody. I haven't been on here for a long time but I think we can all agree that finding swirls on white cars can be a bit of challenge. I've researched this and there have been a lot of different suggestions on the different threads that I've read. I wanted to share what works for me.

This is the Dorcy 100 Lumen Clamp Light (not an Autogeek product so I'm not linking it). It's relatively cheap (it's being discontinued at Lowe's and can be had for 10 bucks). I set the light up a few feet away from the paint and then looked at the reflection at a 90 degree angle. It's also very maneuverable and easy to set up anywhere.

Capturing the swirls on my camera phone didn't come out great but here are some before and after shots. If you look real close above the light in the first picture you can kind of make them out.

I hope this helps someone like it helped me out.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check that out.

Nice!

I've yet to use this one I got for Christmas. It's a 65w Cree LED. But yours looks like a very similar product to the GoPro mount available.
