i have come across something that i have never seen before and i do not have any idea on how to get rid of it . this is on a 09 toyota tocaoma. thanks for any and all help
 
I would use a product like m205 a lightly buff by hand cause that is plastic chrome so whatever don't come off leave it

i will try the 205 and perhaps maybe scratch_x or would the 205 do everything that the 205 would?
 
M205, and scratch x are basically the same product therefore whichever one you choose will have the same outcome
 
Looks like some chemical stain. A guess would be brake fluid or brake clean some sloppy mechanic slopped all over the place. You can try to polish it off - but I don't think it will be easy.
 
I had something similar on my Tacoma, but the spots looked a little bit more purple. I used Duragloss metal polish and the spots came right off.
A abrasive polish would be my last resort.

Are you referring to megs scratch x 2.0? It's very similar to m205 finishing polish? The names certainly do not say so.
 
This look eerily similar to what single stage paint looks like when an all purpose cleaner was accidently spilled on it and left to dry...

Try using a chemical cleaner first, Klasse All-In-One is an example, as these have no abrasives.
