Hey guys, please post waxes you've used that sheet water off the car vs beading. So far I've used mother carnuaba wax and meguiars ultimate liquid wax. Both seem to bead water instead of sheet it off.

I find more sheeting with sealants. If you are set on a wax, I believe most people will recommend 845.

The best sheeting wax that I've used is actually Chemical Guys XXX hardcore paste. It sheeted suprisingly well from what I can remember, although it has been a while since I've used it

so many waxes that sheet well, so with that said collinite 915 is a great one...

There was ab awesome waitress wash that sheeted but they halted production
Shift -65 I think it was
Ima try and get some samples for a but I I know that has some

Interesting considering that Meguiar's ultimate wax and M21 are more of a sheeting style sealant than a beading type. Ultimate wax will bead better than M21.

Who the hell knows what a "wax" is anymore. No true natural carnuba wax sheets very well. Hybrids and synthetics are the way to go. FK1000p and Sonax PNS both sheet like s coating and look great doing it

I was at Meguiar's when the decision was made to create waxes and sealants that bead water instead of sheeting because the perception by the masses is that if a product doesn't bead water really well and for a long time then the product doesn't protect or last very long.

Perception is reality

This was the after effect of the NXT vs Zaino Wax Wars.

I'd say go with SONAX PNS

Does anyone have a video to demonstrate the difference between sheeting and beading. I know what beading is (which was always a good thing back in the day).
But I don't think I've seen sheeting... or maybe I have and didn't know I did. :/

this should do the trick

WOW. I recall that stuff way back in the day. They tried to promote that beading was bad for a vehicle. Is is still around? I remember using it and it did indeed sheet the water.

If you want to see sheeting, any vehicle with a good LSP will do it. I do it after every wash. Just FLOOD RINSE the vehicle. Low pressure all over the vehicle with your water hose with the nozzle removed. Makes drying a breeze too.

Another one...

Yes but any wax can sheet water like that using just the end of the hose. I don't rinse my car down that way. I have my sprayer set on "shower" and I've seen wax that really sheets it off using the sprayer which is what I want. I'm stuck now between what Mike Phillips suggested with Sonax PNS and Autoglym HD wax.

This is a side by side demonstration between beading and sheeting starting at 30s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6zim2_mTT4 I have been detailing full time day in day out for 8 years and probably speak to at least 1000 customers if not more. I have to say that I have given up on trying to convince customer that some coating or products that bead poorly are actually good if not better than some of the super 'beader'. There are time when I try to convince, the customer actually think you are trying to scam them.

Guz--How well does PNS protect against Bird Bomb etching?? I've been wanting to try PNS, but am spoiled with the protection offered by FK1000p.

I have no idea. I don't own PNS. That is a video from forum member Loach's youtube channel.
