I recently had a really hard time taking sealant out of some micro towels and it just occurred to me, why not put some IPA on them when you're finished, and then wash as usual? Since the washing didn't work for me until I used Dawn I was wondering if the IPA trick would work. Anybody ever try this?

Dawn is a degreaser, which breaks grease down, and rinses out with water. Alcohol also breaks chemicals down, but requires the chemicals to be wiped off. You can't really wipe chemicals off of a fiberous/porous material such as cloth.

That's my story anyhow.
