I've learned & spent so much since joining AG.
Because of you guys, I got a little cocky today. My boss has a very old truck. He thought he needed to get the hood repainted. Said he tried buffing, compound & nothing worked. The hood was severely oxidised. Cocky me shouted, I can fix that. Single stage paint ( learned that here ) on a fiberglass hood. Brought out my flex 3401 with lc hybrid orange & wolfgang total swirl remover. Total swirl wasn't cutting it to my liking so i tried some M49 heavy duty oxidation remover (we had this on the shelf ). Followed by lc white hybrid & wolfgang finish glaze. He loved it. Asked if i could do the rest of the truck & to let him know how much. Thank you guys. Cocky me knew I had you guys & all this knowledge at AG behind me

Way cool!! Looks Great! Keep on being Cocky!! That's a good thing!! A Great cocky detailer is not a bad thing. But don't forget to be humble at times too!!
LOL

Thanks. I sure will be humble next time. Got scared when I saw the rea paint coming off on my pad. But then I remembered a article I read by Mike Phillips. How to tell if you have single stage paint

•The best way I was taught to avoid becoming cocky...and "full of myself"...
{instead of just being confident..."sure of myself"}:
-Was to keep a log, of sorts...a spreadsheet, if you will:
of every success and failure.
-Reviewing past failures is a sure-fire way,
to keep cockiness at bay!

•And, regardless the circuitous routes taken by DC comics:
-IMO: There was only one true Superman!

Bob. Maybe I chose the wrong word. I should have said excited & overly confident. I knew with my flex & rupes Bigfoot, I was ready for the challenge.

Allen.. Thanks for the info. Will definitely do that next time

I sometimes also do the same

Good job. People think their paint is no good until they get it polished. They dont under stand that most paint can be fixed when done right.

Way to step up! I am new too, and have done a few details for friends and family. I get really excited when people complain about the way their vehicles look. I start off with suggestions on how to fix it and they decide it's easier to have me do it.

I have learned so much, and also look to the forum when I've worked myself into a corner. Thanks to all who post!
