Well I took off the next couple of days for a long holiday weekend. Got the new tv coming tomorrow so I will spend some time getting all the HMDI cables and such in place. (honey dew list).

I really wanted to seal the Vette today, as she seems lonely sitting in the garage lately. Unfortunately I only have new sealants from Zaino (updated CS - more gloss) and Ultima (test kit). I really would rather do something AG related. Unfortunately I cannot find a single new sealant hiding in the catalog. Updated DP Shield Shine -- done it, UPP with Polycharger -- done it and love it , and Wolfgang w/ polycharger -- did it and quite nice also. Dont find the Duragloss offerings to my liking personally either.

Tell me I am missing something !!

Also note, I dropped a can of Souveran last week and the lid cracked. Its sitting in a zip lock and I cannot sleep at night. What should I do ?? I wonder if any other lids will fit, and sure none have the trademark rubber seal that Souveran did.

How about Surf City Nano Seal. We all need a review on that one. Maybe at the same time, Meghan to the rescue with a new lid for your Souveran.

hey, i knew i wasn't the only one who wanted to try sealant + polycharger..how is that stuff...is worh doing for cusomters and layering about 2 coats of sealant then topping with souveran of such? or does the polycharger differ the need for the wax?

whats the advantage or disadvantages if any?

Count me in on the vote for Surf City Nano Seal. I have used it numerous times and the shine is awesome!

I think you should try CG JetSeal.

ohhhhhhh ur gonna get reported!! hahaha j/m

but yes that is what i used...i ditched the wg dgps...sorry to say, but yes jetseal is what i use now

I think its safe to mention other products. We just cant make a thread about them and stuff.

Not sure why it's hardly ever mentioned, but I've had great success with Menzerna FMJ.

Polycharger adds some addtl gloss and slickness and appears to extend durability. I hardly ever find myself at the end of a sealant in this term (durability) as I detail far to often.

I tried it and found it rather "normal" looking. Alot like the Klasse Twins in look not removal (thank lord) and a very similar to a product called Rejex. Not bad, but not worth the price of admission in my opinion. Knowing their products are a beta line for most others, it is also hard not to find similar products with different scent or color being only difference.

Is AG still considering becoming an Ultima reseller?

Not at this time I am afraid. Luckily they released a small trial kit at reasonable price and I gave in. I really liked the pre-release product RD49 but told it has changed.

wont the sig series II lid fit? it has the rubber seal

It likely will, but then what am I to do with my SSII ???

I have used FMJ, and without upsetting the masses, truly find it to be a rebottled version of Blackfire with a much higher price tag. Remember it is not a Menzerna product, but a repackaged CMA product and thats all I will share to avoid issue. If you like it, use it, as the name on the package means little in the whole scheme of things.

Menzerna APO60 is a sealant to.. Looks pretty good imo, and i know you dont "like" it, but the DG101 is smooth on black (but then, its not a pure sealer)

Whatever you put on the car......WE WANT PICS...

So two I have forgotten about ....

Surf City Nano
or
Menzerna APO60

Hmmmm.....Mix sealants! Just kidding, I don't know if that's a good idea.

Yeah I have the sampler kit. I like the stuff, but can't really decide if its worth the price tag.. Glad I bought it though. Read a post over there today where David is going to start releasing the sealants in 4oz packaging like the sampler is.. While probably not as good of a value (UPGP I'd guess close $25-27/4oz vs $70/12oz), it will help make the cost a little easier to eat.

SSII and Souveran paste lids arent interchangeable, tried that already.

Scott if your bored putting the same old sealant on the the same old cars you can come over and put one of the same of sealants on one of my cars.
;)

I wonder too how the Ultima sealant looks. If it looks like carnauba and lasts a long damn time, it MIGHT be interesting..
