Thats what ive said when o seen the original teaser pics months back looking like atAdams swirl killer mini (shinemate)
Besides little cosmetics like vents in shroud ..it seems to have a bigger specs motor

400watt 75e
500watt shinemate/adams
700watt flex xfe7-12-80

Looks like I need to be good so Santa can get me one of these for my wish list! I am a huge Flex Fan Boy and this looks like a great addition to my arsenal!

Rupes quotes power output whereas Flex always quotes power input. Output of the Flex will be around 400W too. All three of the above mentioned tools are 3",5500 opm 400w output polishers making correction difference between them much over muchness. What will set them apart is NVH levels and ofcourse price.

As I have said before, this is a PE8 with a DA gearbox vs. a rotary gearbox. Motor specs are similar (but not exactly the same), and the lack of a variable speed trigger is exactly the same as a PE8.

Well I just sold an almost new Rupes 15 Mark II, maybe I'll buy one of these to compare to my mini and keep which ever one is better...

I'll definitely wait for a sale though.

Adams sk mini is 500w and 750w
Motor Specs wise on sheet got flex beat..def more comfy as its same body design ,but one has rubber..other doesnt

Flex orbit rate of 10800 has me intrigued..also like theirs starts under 2000 opm whereas 75e and sk mini starts at like 2500 opm

The price of this 3" polisher comes across as insulting to consumers; and as someone said previously pretty steep for a weekend warrior (in my words, hobbyist).

I'm very happy I purchased my Flex 3401 4 years ago and with the 4" backing plate. I rarely use my Griot's 3" polisher as a result. Clearly, my money moves elsewhere...
