What Do you guys think of my Selection for my rotary. I plan to get a DA later and have allways used a rotary but im in need for some new pads.

I've been offline most of the day working on a project or I try to get to these types of questions as soon as possible...


Your pad selection is perfectly fine. The double sided wool cutting pad is a great pad in my opinion and I've used it a lot since it was introduced.

The 6.5" pads work great on rotary buffers as do the Meguiar's 7" Softbuff pads and any of the Lake Country pads.

When it comes to buffing pads you can never have to many...


The rest of your selection looks fine also... I would recommend getting a Spur for keeping your wool pads clean, works much better than a screwdriver and it's safer too...

Thanks for the replay Mike. I work on many different cars. Mostly removing swirls from older cars.

this is just my opinion(i use a rotary) get the m105/205 for sure, the pads get the lake country ones(cheaper meaning you can get more pads for same price) not that the meguiars ones are bad, which they are not. i personally use the 5.5" flat pads and love em. get a flexible backing plate, dont make the mistake i did and think the yellow lake country one would be a flexible backing plate(it is to some degree but only the outer 1/2" of the backing plate) go with the flexi-foam one.what i would do is get a 6 pack containing 2 orange 2 white 2 black then get a 2 3/4" backing plate and some 4" pads also. good luck in figuring out what pads to use, hope they work out good for you.
