Insurance - Cost of Insurance?

For you Mobile Detailers do these prices seem inline for insurance. Now I realize price varies in different areas.

I’m attaching the two quotes I received for you. The first is with liability limits of $500,000 per occurrence and $1mil aggregate….and Garage Keepers Liability of $100,000 with $50,000 per any one vehicle. That premium is $2,429.69.

The second is with liability limits of $1mil per occurrence and $2mil aggregate…..and Garage Keepers Liability of $100,000 with $50,000 per any vehicle. That premium is $3,166.02

LOL talk about resurecting the dead ;)

There are many threads regarding insurance on the forum, I cannot remember the titles but they are there, in case you need info regarding this.

When shopping for insurance, they want to know what's the value of some of the cars you will be working on.Every state will vary on quotes.I currently pay 1800 a year from progressive insurance and it covers my equipment in my van as well.someone a while back stated that insurance deosnt cover workmanship mistakes.Thats not true,if you have a employee who cooks the wheels on a car from a chemical it will be covered.I pay a supplement piggyback when working on planes.so everything comes out to 3900 a year.

On the plane coverage only covers on the ground scenarios, like breaking something or scouring the glass or busting marker lights.nothing in the air.when working on planes I think you have 48 hrs to notify and fix the promblem.very complex when it comes to big ticket items such as planes. If I don't get more Work this year on planes I may exit.
