Being new to detailing some of you may get a good laugh from this. For my interior I've always used q-tips, old toothbrushes (mostly) and MF towels with multiple interior protectants over the years. Now that I am working on doing things the professional way is there a kit (you'd recommend) that includes all the specialty vent and interior brushes in one?
As far as the protectant goes I like a nice glassy shine. I know some of you don't but that's just my personal preference, especially on the tires. From my research it seems like the PERL is high gloss and you can dilute it with different ratios to your own liking. I also like that I could use on the interior as well as the tires. I know there are many opinions on products but mostly looking for the interior detailing tools to get some practice with.

Hope the links help, as far as interior brush kits they don't really offer any as far as I've seen but these brushes are some of my favorite and are pretty easy on the wallet the kits on the other hand are kindly expensive but offer a lot of tools and products

Skip the brushes, get a small vacuum with a detail attachment kit and vacuum the dust out, brushes just move the stuff around and can potentially scratch plastic surfaces.

Metro VAC N GO 500 Plus 3 Ft. Flexible Hose & Filters

And their are micro detailing attachments available for it that are great for getting in all the crevices. I love this vacuum. And it's made in the USA.

Love made in the USA! Nice vacuum, I've been using my shop vac with a couple hose attachments. I also will probably pick up some brushes for the vents and seats/carpet too. Was just hoping I could find everything in a kit rather than buying individual.
Mahalo for the replies!

Since you are now doing Customer cars, you need to ask before going Glossy on the interior and tires.

Many Customers hate it, especially high end vehicles.

You need to have a low gloss and matte finish option available.

I try to buy made in usa when ever possible. However I do like my rigid vac with the auto detail kit. I will use some brushes by solo horton and brush out stuff into the vacuum. I dont like a shine to everything, just protected. I use 303 aerospace and wipe on and then buff off as instructed. It works on everything and saves money using one product

@JamMaster Jay. This is what you need. A simple SM Arnold detailing brush. They're so cheap it's a no brainier to pick up a few.
Just give it a quik spray with APC, lately I've been using Megs D181 Leather Cleaner instead because it does everything D101 does, but does it better. Or you could use Megs Quik Interior detailer as well.

You'll be surprised how well this little brush does for you. It'll make you feel like a true detailer!😃lol.

I have a 6hp. vacuum with all the proper attachments you could buy, [including soft brushes] but when it comes to the certain nooks & cranies such as dirty vents with caked on dust, cracks & crevices on the dash and door panels, buttons on steering wheels etc, the vacuum simply will not get it all..
You may get it to work with the micro attachments, but thats not an option with a big Ridgid vac.

The brush is simple yet effective. The same can be said for just about everything that bears the name SM Arnold.
