When it comes to pricing interior details I'm a little lost. For me the interior would include shampooing, clean all plastics, all little crevices, dress all plastics, clean door jams and interior windows, steam clean any necessary upholstery or carpet. What would the starting
price for something like this be. Time wise its 2.5 to 4.5 hrs of work.
Thanks,
Victor

charge your hourly rate..
so @ $50 an hour, youd be looking at $125 to $225

or estimate the hours it takes to do a small, medium, and large car and charge that

Mine start at $160-$220 depends on condition of interior. I have nothing cheaper unless its a maintenance detail.

As Kengo stated, go by your hourly rate and then figure out how long it'll take you to perform said services. You could also offer two different levels - basic & complete.

Basic would be a vac, wipe-down with Meg's QID, & the glass.
Complete would add shampooing, cleaning everything with something like Meg's green APC, & finally treatment of leather & vinyl with something like OPT Protectant Plus.

Kind of on topic:
One thing I see people do that's kind of a pet peeve for me is "talking about" all the different cracks & crevices, cup-holders, vents, etc. that they are going to clean. IMO, those places all fall under "cleaning vinyl/hard surfaces". People list out all these different areas they are going to clean and to me, it's just repetitive. For me, I break it down by carpets, leather/upholstery seating, vinyl/hard surfaces (which is dash, door panels, etc.), headliner & glass. As I'm getting ready to re-do my website, here's a rough draft of what mine will look like:

Basic Interior Detail
Thorough vacuum.
Wipe-down all vinyl/leather/hard surfaces.
Glass cleaned to a streak free finish.

Complete Interior Detail
Thorough vacuum.
Shampoo all carpets & floor mats.
Clean all vinyl/hard surfaces and treat with a water-based (non-greasy), low-sheen UV-protectant.
Clean all leather and treat with non-greasy UV-protectant or conditioner (depending on type of leather).
Wipe-down headliner.
Glass cleaned to a streak free finish.

Anyway, that's just my little interior rant. It's worth what you paid for it. :)

Really appreciate the feedback guys. I was mainly going off on a
variable hourly rate depending if it has leather seats or what color the carpet was but I've really wanted to stru:::cture a solid pricing diagram of it. One question for you guys that have a large customer base. On regular washes, i see a lot of people just say "quick wipe down", but what does that entail? When I do a regular wash I can't help it but I like to get the cupholders, vents, dash and door panels really clean and takes me about 15-20 min. I just never want to have a customer say to me, you forgot this, how do you guys explain what's included in a quick eipedown?
Thanks

Sanson - A wipe down for me is just what it implies. Spray Meg's QID on the door panel & wipe it down with a MF towel. Spray it on the dash & console and then wipe it down. I can still "clean" vents, cup holders, etc. by doing this. However, this type of service is not meant for a car that needs a thorough cleaning/detail. It's geared more towards a car that's already in good shape. Hope this helps.
