2010 X5 Black Interior, looking for something to touchup the paint on some of the plastic trim. Specifically the door handle, my wife keeps her phone in there and the edges look horrible. Some scratches on steering wheel also next to volume. Any ideas? You guys have interior paint pens? Know where I can get one? BMW says they do not have anything to touchup interiors.

Do you have any pictures of what your talking about. If you can post a couple pics so people can see exactly what your dealing with I think you will get more responses/ideas on going about fixing it.

Good point, here are some pics of what I want to touch up.

you would be better popping those out repainting. If you're good enough with a rattle can it'll come out ok. I wouldn't do a pen, it will look like poop

The steering wheel you might get away with a pen. But have to agree with wrb, if your going to paint painting the whole piece is going to look better. You might want to smooth the arm rest piece before painting, it looks like it has some rough edges.

Step 1: Remove rhinestone encrusted protective case from phone

I'd try calling the dealer or a wrecking yard to see if you can find a clean one. Can't be too expensive to buy new (but then again...:))

I agree with the folks who suggest removing the pieces to spray paint, but those bits look well worn. Finding a perfect match will be darn near impossible, so I'd want to paint all matching pieces in the cabin. I'd also look for something formulated for durability in the hardware store, I don't think automotive paint will hold up very well being constantly touched. Good luck.

Find the part number via Google and then start calling junkyards in your area
