To all at Autogeek

Why are you shipping internationally with Fed Ex and not USPS air parcel post or USPS priority as stated on the website

My previous order which was rather large (350 odd US dollars) was shipped by UPS who are the biggest rip offs on the planet and now Fed ex has been chosen to ship about ten 4 inch pads and the LC 2 3/4 inch backing plate

the shipping quote for this order is 44 dollars
I remember a time at the end of last year when I have ordered two gallons of aquawax plus a few 16 oz bottles of polish etc and total shipping was only around seventy dollars

For those few of us foreigners who are using the expensive stuff professionally, it would be nice if you could offer us a range of shipping options like USPS air parcel which is slower but cheaper than priority and the other carriers

When dwayne was running detail city, I would order the same stuff as you had and the USPS shipping cost was definately cheaper than you.
I understand the increasing prices that the carriers have to charge but please do what you can to look after us.

I'll certainly go elsewhere if I have too.

Its very easy, we get your country, the weight of the package and find you the cheapest and safest way to ship your order. If you prefer a different method all you have to do is request it on your order and that is how we ship it.

OK thanks meghan. I probably seemed aggro about it in my post but am not.
These pads are so small and light that the box needed and overall weight should mean shipping cost of under 25 dollars.
I do know that you guys tend to put way too much of that static popcorn in packages. I hate that ####. Use those cushioned air bags instead with orders.

Thank you penny for quickly responding to my emails and switching back to USPS and saving me eleven US dollars on the shipping.

Penny says you are welcome! She is new and handling our international shipping for us, you can always email her or give her a call if you need any assistance.

:applause: You guys are the best. That's "over-the-top" customer serice. Way to go Meghan and Penny.

:applause: Great news. I thought it was compulsary to use Fedex too. :p I too was looking for another sites for my next purchase. Hehehe. :( Luckily I read this thread. I'm so glad. :righton:

But Fedex was very fast tho. Reached me in 4 days. I didn't even see my local customs chop for approval.... Hehehe. It blasts through customs.. Hehe..

USPS was different as got delayed by our local customs and local post office. Took bout 2 weeks. But a lot cheaper tho. Hehehe... :D

Thank you Autogeek, Meghan & Penny. Have a great week. Cheers.

Just FYI, Fedex is generally coming up cheaper on the shipping than USPS, so you might just want us to check both. Second thing is and all of my Norway guys will chime in on this, Fedex is a LOT faster, and the duties/customs charges are high with USPS and with Fedex sometimes they do not charge any at all. We have to look at the whole picture when we deal with international shipping, so just keep all of that in mind.

FedEx is definately the best option for us here in Norway. It may cost a bit more than the USPS, but it gets here much faster. Also USPS hands their packages over to the Norwegian Postal service as regular packages to be delivered to the nearest post office. This takes a week or so. FedEx also hands the packages over to the Postal service if you live outside the FedEx delivery area (as i do), but they ship express and are delivered to you at home within two to three working days from arrival in Norway. Last order i had from AG was 20kg with $600+ worth of goodies, and i think shipping was around $200. Took four days from AG to my house. And sometimes FedEx forgets to charge the 25% tax we have to pay. That helps too..:D

As long as the gear gets to me within two weeks I am happy.
I have never paid a cent for customs since buying internationally in 2000 (videos, laserdiscs and dvd's) and not once has anyone else beat USPS pricing

Why pay more for it to arrive in two to four days than to just wait three or four more and pay less.

Thanks anyway meghan. I will do that.

Isn't it possible for you to give us shipping costs for both FedEx and Usps when you send us the shipping rate ? Then we can decide ourselves?

Hey Meghan, I saw the little smiley message on my invoice when I opened my package today and thought that was a nice little touch.
Cheers and thanks again
