Well the conversation that most husbands on this site worry about the most started late last evening. My wife feels that I have a problem, and I need help. She wants me to stop or reduce the amount of detailing products I buy monthly. She has even threatened to call Jason .... what am I to do ??

My only savings grace is that I could likely pad my cell (since she's probably gonna lock me up) with microfibers. So if you would all like to help the cause, as I revolt against my spouse, then send microfibers. Soft, cuddly, and well preferably clean. Prayers and well wishes are also needed as I take on the "WOMAN".

This is my current weekends stash. I was even thoughtful enough to buy my 18 month old son a tv for his viewing pleasure. Speed Channel and Elmo in high definition, and of course a couple items for daddy.

Killr, the trick to dealing with a woman is to just tell her it was all on sale. Tell her it was 50% off for one week only and you had been researching the prices for a long time beforehand so when you saw what a deal it was you had to get it. Tell her it was just too good a deal to pass up and that you are actually saving the family money by buying it now rather than later. And then tell her with the money that you saved you want to take her out to dinner to a nice restaurant where she can dress up and wear her diamonds. If that doesn't work, then God help you my friend! :)

Oh and PS, this is tax free week so by buying it now you save even more money on taxes so you can cover the baby sitter for your date night out! Don't forget to get her flowers!! ;)

And if you can dress up like my avatar with the same expression, she'll come around lol

Where did you end up getting the Duragloss stuff, from Carquest? Whats that red tub too?

The red jar is Zymol Ital Wax. The other black bottles are Dura Gloss products I believe, but what's the bottle with the white label?

Well, the HDTV should have "evened" things out(VERY thoughtful of you by the way;)) and would "dirty" micro's used to wipe off Souveran be ok to send(so you can smell the Souv. while crying into them)?

BTW----I got that same speech last week!!! haha.....Welcome to the "dog house" my brother!:righton:

you can also have the items shipped to your work;) That's my next plan of attack!!! :righton:

So let me get this straight. You guys tell your wives what you buy? Man that sounds way too dangerous.

OH, HELL NO!! She get's home first and says "you've got another box from Autogeek.....don't you think you have enough stuff now?" To which my reply is "it's something I'm going to use on YOUR car when I detail it for YOU, since you don't take care of your brand new car." I usually don't hear much more after that:D

hahahahahhahahaha Don't you all wish you were married to me now? lol We'd live in the poor house drinking rum runners with a second garage just for our detailing supplies and we'd have the best looking cars in the city! lol

I go through the same thing with my husband. I have to hide my stash from him and if he finds it I say, "oh, that was a sample somebody sent me" :)

My wifes in Iraq so for no lip from her :D , I did however buy RMG & Natty blue for the 07 Dark Blue Ford Fuzion she ordered. Little does she know if she ever complains about me ordering products, I can always say "At least it's not a 20,xxx dollar order :awesome:

FN, I have the feeling that if you were single there would be a line of Autogeeks at your door.

LOL I guess it helps that I'm cute too and a good cook. I'm a lousy housekeeper though. I'd much rather work on my car! ;)

both are never ending jobs!!

Total up her hair product/hair salon costs. See who spends less.

I spent $800 on my r/c monster truck in one year. My wife thought it was insane. After we totaled up her annual hair salon costs, I could buy a new r/c truck setup every year and still spend less than her. No more comments after that.

It also helps that my haircut is military style flat top and only costs $12 a month at the barber...and I'm home in ~1.5 hours. Each of her hair appts is an all day affair.

The 50% off sale wouldn't work in my house. My wife tries that all the time with me. I told her I don't get a bill for the discounts, I get a bill for the actual purchase price.

My wife is a stay at home mommie .... so her friends are the UPS, Fedex, and DHL drivers. They now know to honk once for my packages and twice for hers.

Yes I decided to revisit the Duragloss products since I originally had samples. Also wanted to see what their bonding agent and Aluminum Wheel Brighter was about. Zymol was a splurge with a friend, seems we both wanted to see what the new Ital was like against the previous version. (its been upgraded) She made me put the Zymol Glasur back since that looked all to much like Souveran for twice the price.

Whatcha gonna do .... just got back from J Alexanders from dinner and heading out to wash the truck. As long as she does NOT call Jason, I am in the gold.

And oh yeah Wystang .... I wore that mask to bed last night. She thought I was wearing a proactive facial and just asked me to turn off the lights. :p
