Hi Fellas my name is Joey joined up to to see if i can simplify my care care, espacially my wheels. My car look good but my wheels are horrible. Got this Lexus SC 400 and i dont know if the wheels are alloy or aluminum.. They are original to the car.Feed back please

Welcome to AGO. What year is the SC 400? Some years seemed to have shipped with alloy and some have shipped with aluminum, trim model might help determine what kind of wheels you have.

Or, you could look into a wheel cleaner that's safe for all wheels, which many are these days. Chemical Guy's, Mother's, Wolfgang, DP, Pinnacle, plenty of all-wheel cleaners available.

If it's baked on brake-dust and tar deposits then you might want to consider looking into something like IronX, but that is a much more powerful product than the wheel cleaners I'm referring to but is also very popular here.

Its a 92 i've tried several of these to no avail. I post a picture on my profile still trying to figure out AGO site.

Seems to me like they're alloy wheels, I know there are some really powerful cleaners out there like Meg's Wheel Brightener but those are to be handled with extreme care & caution. If you haven't tried CarPro's IronX I'd say give that a go, let it dwell and wipe it down, you may even just want to remove the wheels completely and knock out as much as you can if they seem to be this stubborn. Also gives you an opportunity to hit the wheel wells thoroughly!
