I was really looking forward to doing this car! It is a rare car around these parts, especially one in this condition. The car has just under 100,000 miles, but you'd never know to look at it. I was hired to do inside and out and compound, polish and OG.

Here is the car as it arrived to me:

As you can see, it had 2 fair sized chips in the front and fairly heavy swirling for a white car.

Yes, she's a special model:

There were a few stains that I was tasked with removing as well. Got 'em out, but forgot to shoot interior pics at the end as the customer had arrived just as I was finishing shooting the outside. It was a crappy, rainy day too unfortunately.

First up as always was the wheels and tires. They got cleaned with Tarminator, Zep Citrus on the wheels. Zep Purple on the tires and ZC in the wells. The clear seemed stained unfortunately. I tried to fix that later.

After a foam wash, the car was washed with a strong mix of DG 901 and Dawn and then one more time with IronX gel and spray. Here it is reacting on the hood:

Not a ton of decontamination for it to remove, but definitely some. Next the car was brought in and clayed with CarPro foam clay block. The car was originally booked for a one step polish, but after stripping the paint, it became apparent that would not cut it (literally!). Here are a few shots where I tried to capture the swirls with the camera:

The first thing to get compounded was the headlights. They got done with a 3" wool pad and Menz Power Gloss followed by a yellow 3" B/S pad with M105 and then a white B/S with M205. Here it is taped up and ready to go:

The tail lights were also done the same way. Drastic improvement.

Next up was the paint. I tried a yellow B/S with M105 and it was not quite aggressive enough for this paint. The car is a re-paint and had readings in the 160 micron range. It was also quite hard for body shop paint! I then thought to use Corey's Car-Pro Wool/Foam combo pad. I call it the "magic pad". For the most part, it did really well. Definitely finishes down very, very well. It was not as aggressive as a Tuf Buff black wool pad which is what I used on the hood, roof and decklid with M105. That step was followed by Opt Hyper Polish and a green B/S pad. All buffing was done with my Flex 3401, except for the wool which was done via Dyna rotary. The rotary step got a third step of M105 and B/S yellow as an intermediate step. An ONR wipedown was done to prepare the paint for OG.
The wheels were hand polished with M105 and a small yellow B/S pad folded in half. That was followed by an ERASER wipe down followed by OG.
The glass was cleaned and wiped down with ONR and then treated to Opt glass coating.
The exhaust tips were hand polished with M205 and then sealed with OG as well.
The trim was dyed with Solution Finish and the tires sprayed with DP gel via spray gun. The barrels were sprayed with Permanon.
Finally, the paint was wiped down the next day with UWW for added slickness. The owner was just thrilled as he is very proud of this car.
The interior was vacuumed, steamed and spot treated for the stains that needed to come out. I used Folex and lots of white terry towels to remove the stain on the driver's mat with my Gaia steamer. Leather seats were cleaned with OPC and then treated to UIGP as was the steering wheel.

The after shots are from inside the garage, so they're not that great. I really wished I had a sunny day to shoot it, but no luck.

Car would be dope with the kouki front and a nice set of wheels.

Good job on the detail :)

Ah this makes me miss my S13, great car. Good job on the detail.

Great job, very deep shine that is difficult to obtain on a white car.
