Hello people, was wondering about this , since I was trying to buy some IPA for polish residue removing today but ended up accidentally buying 75% ethanol solution instead.
Been searching through the forum but couldnt find a clear answer to this, so the question is
1. can I use this instead of IPA in the same way?
2. if so or not so, whats the ratio mixed with water thats safe.

Appreciate the help.Feed back please:dblthumb2:

p.s. excuse my poor English, not my native language.

Maybe this just me, I would not let anything touch my paint without seeing proper review :)
It's safer to use IPA or carpro Eraser
I choose the later.
It's good for window cleaning and smell great too lol

Ethanol:
It is the same kind of alcohol found in whiskey, but it has been distilled to the point where it is nearly pure alcohol (whiskey is typically only 40% alcohol and 60% water).

Ethanol also goes by the name of: Denatured alcohol---it has been poisoned to keep people from buying it as an alcoholic-drink substitute.
IMO: This is probably the 75% ethanol solution you purchased.

•Besides being useful as a fuel...
-Ethanol is a good solvent!
-Dilute your 75% solution in the same manner as a
bottle of 75% IPA would be diluted for a "panel wipe".

IPA:
Isopropyl alcohol is often cheaper to make than ethanol/denatured alcohol.
It's also useful as a solvent---in the same way acetone is useful as a solvent.
IPA also burns nicely...RE: Bottle rockets. :D

Note:
Rubbing alcohol is a generic term that can be
either denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.
