with the proper backing plate yes... That is the majority of what I use on mine...
 
Cool! I have the stock backing plate that came with the GG machine and also the new 6 inch Meguiars microfiber backing plate, is either one fine?
 
For the 5.5in pads you will need a 5in backing plate you technically can use the 6in backing plate but it is NOT advisable as you will have a half inch over lap on all the way around it and it can cause damage to the vehicle's paint... So please don't use the larger bp with the 5.5in pad...

ohh god lol i just oredered 6 5.5 inch lake country pads for 35 bucks. oh well!
