Is it to cold to put out coating on car?

Hello,

I was hoping to put the Wolfgang coating on my truck this weekend. The temps for Chicago will be a high of 72 and low of 56 Sat and Sun high of 56 and low of 45. I was thinking of washing, claying and polishing on Sat and on Sun doing Paint prep and the sealant in the morning. Im concerned about moisture during the night since I can't keep the truck inside. Will 56 degrees be to cold for the coating to cure properly?

So which are you doing because I see coating and sealant mentioned.
 
I wouldn't even think of it unless it's at least 65. Been there and paid dearly for jumping the gun.
 
I've applied CQUK and Gloss Coat in as low as 45 degree temps with no adverse effects to the curing of the coating.
 
That's what God created garages for lol. Nope, wait till it warms up if you don't have a climate controlled garage.

May I ask what occurred? I coated my Subie Outback 3.6R two weeks ago in Philly and had some issues with rapid flashing on the sunny side of the vehicle. It was about 65 that day.
 
Generally I thought most recommend a temp of at least 60 for application, then 24hr to cure w no exposure to water, including any dew that might form if vehicle left outside in overnite conditions that would produce dew.

I applied opticoat 2.0 a few years ago when the temp was in the high 40's low 50's and it didn't seem to cure correctly would still smear after 4 days, so I'd wait until it's warmer or you can apply and let cure in a heated garage.
 
You might check Polish Angel Viking Coat. It was designed for colder weather. Cures quickly.
 
Hello,

Looks like a chance of rain Sunday so it looks like I will have to until spring. Any suggestions on what to use to get me through the winter? I have a bottle of ultimate wax I use for one of my other cars. How well will this hold up?
