Is Optimum Poli-Seal enough?

I'm about to do a quick one-step on a new-ish car. The car currently has (what's left of) a single layer of Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax from a few months ago.

It's recently been clayed (I may do a second claying on horizontal surfaces since it's ungaraged) and is not TOO dirty.

do I need more than an ONR wash and a quick clay job before moving to Optimum Poli-Seal? I understand Poli-Seal is a cleaner as well as a light corrector (white pad) and sealant. I would think it would be sufficient to take care of any remaining LSP without a stripping step.

thoughts, opinions, experts?

Thanks!

Matt

It seems like you are trying to correct, seal, and remove old lsp.

A proper clay job should remove lsp, and the optiseal will lightly correct and seal, so I think you're good :)

Hey Matt,

Optimum Poli-Seal
does contain light abrasives and will work well for general cleaning and removing any left over sealants or wax. It will also remove stains and water spots but I'd recommend applying a separate sealant or wax once you've used it...

Thanks guys. I was hoping to not have to clay the whole car so that's good to know. Plus it seems that the "seal" part of PS will migrate down to the bottom layer anyway.

I also plan to hit the finish with opti-seal and optimum car wax after I'm all done. Those are so easy to apply it's almost fun.

This has to be the nicest Spray Wax on the market.....:props:

Your plan sounds awesome to me. I'm using up some other products I have
but then I will also be using ONR, OPS, OS, and OCW pretty much exclusively
on the daily drivers. I have not used OPS and OS yet, but I'm looking forward
to the day. All the other OPT stuff I have started using has amazed me.

For more serious corrections it will be hard to not use M105 and 205, but
I will definitely consider using some of the OPT polishes.
