Can the BL Synergy wax be used on top of the BL Paint Sealant (not coating)? Will the nano particles in Synergy have anything to bond to if the paint has a layer of the resin based BL Paint Sealant on it? Has anyone tried it yet?

I have 2 coats of Synergy on top of 2 coats of PBL Paint Sealant. Seems to have bonded just fine. In a couple of weeks I'll try the PBL Booster to see how it fairs.

I have 2 coats of Synergy on top of Menzerna Power Lock sealant...no problem!! 281 It looks great!!!

•You're wanting to put an LSP---Synergy---that has
a combination of:
-The same nano-glass ceramic particles that's found in the PBL 'Coating'...
And:
-Carnauba wax...

•On top of another PBL LSP-product:
-PBL Diamond Paint Sealant?

Why?
And:
Good Luck!

Not sure really. Curious what that combo would look like and thought I'd find out if anyone's tried it and had any obvious compatibility issues. Anything wrong with that Bob?

•Possibly. However, it's your:
-Money
-Time
-Efforts

•Don't most folks occupy their existence by doing at least these things:
-Seeking money/more money.
-Seeking to make themselves more sexually attractive.
-Sleeping. And:
-Spending money.

•I hope that, eventually, there will come the realization that professional consumer marketing experts deduce rather quickly that there is ultimately no way that a Consumer can avoid "being had":
-Inevitably a great portion of what Consumers spend will be frivolously or inefficiently squandered:
-That a great portion of their income will be effectively wasted.

•I believe that a guide---a "How To"--- to assist the Consumer in throwing away his or her money is long, long overdue.
-Perhaps I can fit drawing-up a basic outline into my busy schedule. I want to be able to assure Consumers that such a guide/how-to will absolutely guarantee they will "be had"...will waste their money...but with their eyes (and pocketbooks) now wide opened: Comforted with knowledge in these details (pun intended).

I would not, however, offer any money-back guarantees.

That's a lot of deductions about my being from a simple post. Thanks for always trying to take the fun out of detailing!....UnFUNX725

C'mon...
Is that really the way to make the Bailey's proud?

If you look at Bob's post from a broader aspect it's quit deep in a simplistic way. How much money do we waste through psychological manipulation by trained marketing professionals? I have no doubt I could have a million dollar savings account at this point in my life if I were more mindful through the years. I got punked a few months ago on a classic car that I don't need. I kick myself every day for that purchase. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few years off my life from the stress of how much I spent on something I don't need and will never be able to recover what I spent. Sometimes Bob's posts may rub a person the wrong way but they are to educate and entertain. I don't take them personally. We don't know each other. Some of his posts make me chuckle and others are quite educational. Some don't hit my sense of humor but others seem to enjoy them. If you want to put synergy on your car it's your time and money. We all get to decide how we spend our time and money. Others can have their opinion. I enjoy everyone on this forum. Let us know how it works for you if you use it.

If FunX had a whole detailing team. I imagine this :D (Of course he would be the youngest in the picture ;) )

When Synergy first came out - I believe I recall Nick (or someone from AG) posting it can be used on top of PBL sealant - as the line was designed to work together.

How it "works" or "bonds" is beyond me. I also don't understand how the surface needs to be completely "clean" for Synergy's magical "glass particles" to bond - but yet there there is wax inside the product itself. So, your immediately smearing wax and "glass particles" on a surface that has to be wax free in order for it to bond correctly. I don't get it - but that doesn't mean it's not true.

Proud? Really? ###. You know nothing about me
Thanks for your little nuggets of wisdom. I'm questioning my whole life up until this moment. I get it. I'm destined to waste time, product and my money. It's the basic premise of most of your posts.

Yes FUN. Why else are we all doing this? If this were just about protection we would have all stopped at zaino, DG, FK1000P or Colli years ago and AG would sell about 10 products.

I clearly mentioned that understood that the wax and sealant were using different technologies in the first post. Do you have anything to say specifically about using Synergy on top of the sealant.?

Let's keep the thread on topic fellas. :dblthumb2:

Synergy CAN be applied on top of Diamond Paint Sealant. These two products were formulated knowing they would be used in conjunction with each other.

Enjoy! :props:

Thank you for answering the question that was asked

So what are the possible combos with the BL line?

- BL Synergy on bare paint......obviously okay

- BL Paint Sealant on bare paint.......obviously okay

- BL Paint Coating on bare paint.......obviously okay

- BL Paint Sealant then Synergy......yes per Nick above

- BL Paint Coating then Synergy......yes from the product descritpion

- BL Paint Coating then BL Paint Sealant......?????

- BL Paint Coating then BL Paint Sealant then Synergy.....if the above is okay then this should be okay too. But I would be with Bob on this one as being excessive. However, just once I would like to see what it looked like just in case it was something special.

- could I substitute the BL Surface Coating for the BL Paint Coating in all of the above combos?

That's about all I can think of. Of course with only applying the coatings first. Definitive answers to these questions should clear up any questions of what is possible with the BL line. Are any of them a bad idea chemically-wise?
