Title says it all, I want something to polish that won't stain black trims.... Do you guys know any ?

KAIO, or DG501, but always do a test first, and wipe off promptly before it dries.

What about D151 ? Do you know if it'll stain trims ?

To my experience, PO85RD is unforgiving... stains only thinking to get close by....

I don't really know about D151, but Meguiar's products aren't known as being particularly trim friendly.

Poorboys Polish with Sealant will not stain trim.

PwS is very pad dependent. I have had good success with either an orange light cutting pad, or a white polishing pad and some decent downward pressure for a few passes followed by just the weight of the DA.

It can remove some very light scratching/micro marring, but not much. It can't cut on par with Megs D151, but against other AIO products, it is right there.

Well.... I want to give it a try... but I really wanted to know examples (pictures and 50/50) from it..... as the idea is to give some super fast swirl remover (not necessarily RIDS but swirls must be mostly gone) and fair protection, without the need to tape the car (because the tape is expensive and it takes a good amount of time)... I want to aim on a broader public without becoming a hack detail job.... just to increase the type of people ($$) I'm able to reach...

XMT360 says it does not stain black moldings but I have not tried it yet.

I don't think this product will do what you are looking for unless the paint is very soft. I would look at D151, or maybe try a Microfiber Cutting pad with an AIO.

I just ordered some XMT360 I will be using on a clients White Nissan Murano this saturday that they are selling saturday afternoon..

Will take pics of the Job and report a review on it when I'm finished and whether or not it stains trim. but since this vehicle won't be around I won't be able to review it for a long term report

Well I have a 16oz bottle from D151 here with me, but it stains trims so... I guess I'll be left to try for myself what PWS can do... I was also thinking about CG Black light but it's kind of $$$. Also people seems to be confused about correction ability of it which seems, just like PWS, be related more to the pad cut than abrasives that the product probably ain't got.

:wow: I was actually going to suggest 4500, and in fact the entire Menz line for the fact I have never had them stain trim! If you get some on the trim, quickly wipe it off and you are good to go!

Thats true with any product thats known to "stain" trim. It will only stain if its left on there for too long..

Ahummm.... this is curious.... I always have it to stain.... although like you said... if I thoroughly clean the trim right after, it won't stain, but then it would defeat the idea which is to save time... right ?

What about the BLACKFIRE Total Polish & Seal ? Do anyone knows if it cuts more than the xmt 360 ?
