I'm working on my personal ride trying to remove factory peel. I've been using CP denim pads with Menz 400. So far I'm getting great results but I'm not sure if I need to keep going. I'm going until the product is clear and it's starting to dust. Here are some pictures. How am I doing?

Looks good. Did you take any any paint measurements before and after?

I know shame on me, but I didn't. Lost my ptg when we moved. Car is mostly a garage queen, getting coated with Kamakazi ISM and Miyabi after.

Without a PG, I hope you will be sanding and coating clear coat and not base coat. Looks good so far.:props:

Nice. Please keep us updated on the ISM and Miyabi. Been looking at those.

That's an awfully long time for FG400.

That looks good to me. Can you take a picture of a reflection of something more detailed?

Sorry, it's 5 a.m. and this is what my brain could come up

How do you like those denim pads? I've been looking at them myself for orange peel removal instead of wetsanding by hand since I don't have a machine yet.

They work pretty good, product use is paramount. Too much and the pad gums up and you get a mess. Let the pad cut, not the product.

Are you finishing down with a finishing polish and foam pad?

Yes, I will be finishing with foam, there is haze.

I'm not sure as I'm working in sections, I used 2 for the passenger c pillar and 1/4 of the roof. However the second pad could have been used more but it was bed time. I've washed them and well re use them today.

PTG arrived yesterday so I took measurements on the decklid before doing any work, after OP removal and after polishing with Menz 2500. Here are some pics of that work:

Before:

I did switch to a rotary and tried two different setups. One was after watching Osren products, they load up their pad with compound and go after it. That seemed to work, at first, but the pad would gum up very quickly. I switched back to super small, like smaller than a pea sized drops. That was much easier to control.

Here is during, you can see the OP based on how the compound was "missing" in spots:

After leveling:

After shots, this is polished with Menz 2500 on a white hybrid:

You can see the wear line from the spoiler, I pulled it off to allow me to get to all the paint on the lid.

Most measurements along the trunk were 5.5 to 5.6, after leveling and polish I saw a .2-.3 drop in thickness.
