I have noticed most Asian shops have black walls and many have dark floors? Would anyone know what the advantages are?

Better at showing paint defects from my understanding. I think Jason Rose commented on it a while back. I like having my bright walls and work space though and it's not solely used for paint correction. I can just turn my overhead lights of if I need to do 99-100% correction.

It's an interesting idea, would you know if Jason wrote an article?

I don't think so. It was a discussion on FB. I'll see if I can find it though. I know all the Rupes correction areas are painted like that and there was a study done on it by a car manufacture.... I believe he said Rolls-Royce but don't quote me on that one.

Perhaps it is one way to honor
Bruce Lee's contributions towards
cross-culturalism's amalgamation.

As the old Cantonese saying goes:
"Honorable detailing shop
brings customers chop-chop".

No luck finding it. I left a lot of the detailing groups so it could have been in one of them. I think it had to do with the contrast of the dark ceiling and the lights being better at showing defects. maybe shoot him a PM though. ;)

Kinda racist don't you think....Also Bruce Lee is Chinese and Cantonese is Southern Chinese. The analogy with the Japanese subject at hand is way off. Or....I must be tired and reading your comments wrong.

I'm sure the Asian people on this forum find your comments amusing. Fine line Bob...Fine line...

The moderators need to pay more attention else its a slippery slope. Race, religion and politics break nations and countries.. Lets keep the peace and keep responses detailing inclined. This is no attack on you Bob, just some friendly advice. Again, I might be wrong as your intention might have been clean and I along with others are reading it all wrong. Peace.

Wow! That's all I can say.

There is no racism in Bob's response...but some people just seem to enjoy bringing it up all the time.

Another reason in my opinion is also the final photos reflection .For example if you have a shiny floor will steal the reflection from you car , or dark colours walls with florence lamps will look very good in final photos than a bright wall . (sorry for my poor english i hope i gave you my thought)
