How can I restore a 2007 jeep jk fiberglass hardtop it's sun faded and looks gray now. The owner want it to look close to new and don't want to use products that runs down the sides when raining or washing.

I purchased an 02 jeep wrangler not long ago and the factory hard top was also grey. I used my GG with 5" backing plate,orange pad and Megs UC (do a test spot)and topped it with 845 IW.
It came out great.

I didn't know that you can compound/polish those type of tops I've seen people wax those tops before and it made a mess wax in all the texture parts of the roof, like you said try a test spot.

Just curious what worked best when you did a test spot? I will be helping a friend with his white jeep unlimited with black hard top soon and also had same question in mind.
