So, a while back Alko was bugging me to post pics of my new Jeep (well it was new in January lol). I finally told him in May I had some great pics of before/after cleanup from an off-road trip and I was going to post them. Well, it took me this long to get around to learning my new photo processing software and dealing with them lol, so here you guys go.

The dirt/bugs/etc. are from one day of off-roading and the 2 hours trip there and back. I actually did the cleanup over 2 days. Interior one evening, exterior the next. Interior was previously coated with UIGP so I just needed a vacuum, a spray bottle of water, and MF towels to wipe everything down. I did use invisible glass and a MF glass towel on the windows. The exterior was washed with the 2 bucket method with Dodo BTBM and 1oz of ONR for water softening and lubricity to guard against the heavy layer of dust. The engine bay was detailed with OPC 3:1 and 303.

Note the "desert pinstriping" down the side. Most of it on the actual paint was light and later buffed out.

This however is permanent as you'll see after the wash (it can't be buffed/etc.)

That pesky scratch........

Don't wash when the sun hasn't gone down enough. Now I need to polish and seal the windows  These laugh at clay.

Charles...I'm getting red x's on the pics here at work but you better believe as soon as I get somewhere with internet access I'm checking them out. I got my FiOS cut off since I'll be moving in with my soon-to-be wife. But THANK YOU....for finally putting up the pics LMAO!!! Give me a little but to check them out.

Any luck with that scratch yet? What type of material is it made of? Try Megs PlasticX....????

It's a painted fiberglass. Dr. Colorchip actually makes touchup paint for it I found out so I may end up with some. The fiberglass itself is fine it's just the paint was removed. I have a roundish spot now on the front top edge where as best I can tell the tarp I have covered the top with while it's been off the Jeep the last two months has rubbed the paint off from wind blowing it :wow: At least that's on top where nobody will see it.
