Iam using the Flex 3401 with LC CCS pads orange and white.I use Meg UC with orange pad then Meg U compound then follow with yellow paste wax.I get really good results with this .Iam looking for that super high gloss that iam not yet to get.Can I do any jeweling with the 3401?The vehicles iam working on are daily drivers and from 10 to 20 or more yrs old.I did my boat with these same products and everyone was amazed at the results.I used the Meg #7 glaxe instead of the ultimate polish on a vehicle ,looked great.Should I be using the glaze or the ultimate polish?whats the difference between the two?Anyone with more knowledge than I have on this coul;d be of great help.

I think you meant to say UC followed by UP. Are you cleaning the pads between each panel? Personally I like Menzerna 4000 or 4500 for a fine cut polish. Also pressure and speed play a role in cut aggressiveness.

Also the flex being forced rotation it has aggressive cut so you have to be careful with your technique.

The difference between glaze and polish is that glaze has no cut whereas polish has cutting ability meaning it removes some clear. Glazes are used to fill in imperfections but they won't last long and hence neither will anything you put on top of any glaze. So glaze is used to hide fine scratches while leaving them there. Polish is used to remove the scratches while removing some clear by abrading the paint.

Usually most don't jewel daily drivers because they don't expect a show car finish to last long on a daily driver.
