Short story, lady calls me up and wants me to come out and detail her car. Turns out her husband has a small collection. So I show up and the lady tells me that her husband trusts me enought to detail her Mercedes and if I do a good enough job, he'll let me get to his other cars. I saw a Porsche 911 Turbo (fire red), I think a metallic gray Vette Stingray with polished alum wheels and a ton of chrome... in another garage he's got a '95 and '05 Mustang which I didn't get to see. Well needless to say when I was done I got the job. Going back out there next tuesday... so I will be posting another couple threads of his collection.

Outside:
Hand wash with RL wax based shampoo
Clay with Pinnalce Poly clay (not too impressed)
RL Polish and protect using Cyclo w/green pad
RL Glaze using Cycle w/blue pad
Buff off with MF towel
Chrome polished exhaust tips
Glass with Stoners inside/out
Tires with RL exterior tire and trim
Cleaned wheels with RL Quick spray Detail

Inside:
Simple vac
Wipe interior w/RL all-purpose
Dress interior w/RL premium dressing.. then wipe back off
Cleaned and conditioned leather w/RL leather cleaner and conditioner
Layed down coat of RL fabric protectant
One pass of RL odor neutralizer

Beautiful job, and nice strange color (at least for me) Mercedes! Great job!

2nd shot looks wet! Great job w/ exterior and interior!

Good work. Sounds like you hit a nice treasure trove there too!

I'm surprised you were not impresed with the Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay. I find it to be great for light clay work. If you are looking for a once or twice a year clay the Poly clay would not be the best choice.

What is the "RL" acronym?

That Mercedes looks wicked, I really like how you turned the interior around.

What is that interior protection you used? Another question is what did you use to remove all the bugs? Just regular soap?

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice looking Mercedes, looks like you passed your exam with flying colors!

stands for rightlook, i figured it better use that. I don't want to make anyone upset becuase i don't use alot of stuff from auto geek. And on the clay, I clay every vehicle i detail. I used stuff from RL, but it was a meduim duty clay... and it picked up real nice. Guess I shouldn't expect the same results from a light clay.

On this car, soap and water with a bug sponge. I normally use Stoners bug and tar, but was out.
