I resigned today after aonly a short time of working there, i felt as if it wasnt in my best interest driving the 60 mile round trip each day for the pay i was getting (7.25 an hour). I left on good terms and my manager offered me my job back no questions asked if i ever needed it again.

The v8's were starving me all this time, its about 15 bucks a day in gas ( rough rounded estimate) and i was not going to spend 150 every 2 weeks when i would only be making 500 and something dollars.


So im going to hunt for jobs closer to my house for the time being and if i can not find anything ill give my manager a call. he was pretty upset i left, said he was loosing the best employee he had in a while and that managment was in my immediate future. So i know i have opportunity there if i ever decided to repursue it.

Dang man, that sucks. I was in a similar situation and I just left my job too. I don't think it is worth it to go 60 miles round trip for a 7.25 an hr job. Just my opinion. I take it, if you are a good worker, you can find work closer and move up in the company there. Good luck man.
