Kinda’ noob…. Used to really be into detailing 20 yrs ago…. Got married… had kids and lost all the time I had to have a little pride in my cars… Well, the kids are in college and I’m looking to get back in it…. Funny how much the products have changed over the years…. Anyway- looking for a little help…. Just bought a 2008 Tundra in silver metallic… been searching/lurking for a while and have narrowed my products based on some of the threads here…. Will start off with a AIO… probably Klasse… Collinite 845 on top…. The paint is in great condition and since I’ll be doing this initially by hand… keeping it simple and this is a lot of truck(should read: I’m old)… I’m hoping this should get me by for a couple of months…. I’ll pop for the Flex 3401 when the edge pads are available… in the meantime I look forward to learning a few things here….

845 looks awesome on silver, and top notch durability....just remember to shake it like hell till its normal consistency. Apply thinly, Collinite waxes are strong and if too thick can be a beotch to remove.

Welcome to AG
Good choice on the AIO and wax both are top notch products. Collinite 845 (2 coats to ensure full coverage) should get you 3 months pretty easy. Location and wash soap will determine how long it can go. Megs Gold Glass soap is a really good OTC wash soap (NXT is pretty strong stuff) and Duragloss Cherry soap (Napa and CarQuest carry them) is a good choice as well.

:welcome: Good guys and good info here. Enjoy.
