Just a simple wash and wax..... so why is there a crowd gathering?

We were recently contacted by Bugatti USA to detail a Bugatti for an episode of Jay Leno's Garage. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was going to be "Sophia," a 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.

I first laid eyes on her in Monterey when we were sent there to detail a number of Bugattis.

That is where I fell in love with her! As a matter of fact I kept the decal that she worn during Monterey car week and put it on my van (seen here behind the Thunderbird) as a memento of the summer Sophia and I spent together.

While in Monterey we dialed her in proper with a very thorough cleaning and polishing. Today she would only need a little luv'n to get her ready for the show.

I lightly polished and waxed her beautiful exterior with my G110v2, Microfiber Finishing disc and D301 Finishing Wax.

We happened to be very near the home of a client of mine that owns a few exotics. I invited him over to see Sophia. He arrived in his 458 Italia that we detail for him on a regular basis.

About two hours later she was look'n sweet again.

Then it was time to tuck her in ... The gentleman helping me with the cover (or am I helping him?) Is Bugatti driver Robert "Butch" Leitzinger.

Thanks for the kind words. I drive those from time to time just to reposition them in the parking lot. I never have driven one on the street.
