What brand oil do any of you use for your cars? What has been the best and worse? If you have more than one preference what is the order you will go before using another brand.....here is mine

1. Royal Purple 10W-30
2. Mobil 1 10W-30
3. Castrol GTX 10W-30
4. Valvoline

Castro 0W-30. I wanted a thicker 30 weight for my DI turbo engine. UOA shows it's better than the 5W-30 castrol I was using before.

Pennzoil Platinum 10W-30 - Previous owner (2000 Avalon) has used synthetic since day one and changed it religiously every 3000 miles. I don't change it that often, but I figured I'd follow his product example. (Everything else he's done for that car have kept it pristine.)

Penzoil or Mobile 1. Not too worried or particular as i'll be swapping the engine in the somewhat near future.

Wanted to do that to a 1994 GMC Safari, sadly the engine gave out before I could of done the swap.

I'm caught between a coyote swap and or the plug and play 4.6 swap. I think the coyote would be a lot more fun

NO BEST HERE, engine is running, same temp, same mpg, same noise etcetc
just MB 229.5 rated.. Without lab comparable conditions and UOA's no way of knowing..
so whatever is on sale.....
Castrol Edge professional 0w30
Fuchs Titan 5w30
Mobil 1 0w40

used to run RP as it was free from sponsor and it was great, but when I stopped being sponsored I continued to use it and had a oil test ran. shortly after I started to run mobil 1 as it was cheaper and also had it tested and the results were basically the same. so now I only run mobil 0w30

Coyote I say, I seen the, from 10-12 K new. I wanted to throw a 350 block on a Van and convert it to a sleeper.

When I threw RP on my 07 Pilot and 06 Mustang I felt a difference from the conventional. Like how the car felt smoother.

4.6 Would be much cheaper, Coyote would be more unique and badass. Only reason I wouldn't go coyote first is the car is my DD, and the money required

My 06 GT has a 4.6L, itching to save up and get me a 1969 Chevelle SS with a 454

Ford Fusion 3.0 V6

1. Pennzoil Ultra 5-20
2. Mobil Extended Performance 5-20
3. Pennzoil Platinum 5-20

All with an OEM Motorcraft oil filter. Changed at 5k miles. The engine runs quieter on the Ultra.

Mobil 1, in all my cars since 2003. Zero engine/oil issues, 6,000 miles, 6 month intervals. Usually way over on time. I average 7-9000 miles per year on my Sienna.
