I fractured a rib, so I'm gonna be out for a few days. :/ Sucks, I have cars lined up this week every day.

Man, that really stinks and from what I hear can be pretty painful especially if you move in the wrong direction to quickly...

Did you fall or something?
 
I fracture mine snowboarding once. It is not fun. There is nothing they can do about it either so you just have to suck it up till it heals. Pain meds didn't even really do much.
 
Sorry to hear this. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

I had cracked ribs a long ago, from a car accident. It hurt to breathe, not a good thing.
 
I guess I could have explained how I got it lol Well last sunday I was in a hurry to go to a friends birthday party so I finished the car I was working on and tried to take a speedy shower. Well I was going to quick and not paying attention and I slipped in the shower. My left side, just under my rib cage caught the faucet as I fell. It hurt but I didn't think much of it because I was still able to work and bend down. I just had a nasty bruise and it hurt to touch it is all.

So around 1230 Wile on AG replying to a thread for ONR dilutions I sneezed lol I felt a sharp pain and could barely move. SO I went to the Er, took some x-rays and the doctor said I must have fractured it last sunday then displaced it when I sneezed.
 
Rib injuries can be so painful. Hope you are able to heal up without too much pain.
 
Time to take it easy for a while. Hope you get healed up really soon.:props:

That looks pretty freekin painful Dug Dug, but I think taking a week off from work is a bit much. 2 or 3 days and you should be back at it. Don't be a quitter...
 
Ouch. That looks like it smarts a bit! I slipped out of the shower, tripping over the tub wall. During the slip I grabbed on the wall mounted towel rack; ripped it off the tiled wall. On my way down I took out the shower curtain and the rod. I fell flat on my back with my head in the direction of a wooden cabinet. I thought I was going to split the back of my head.

I laid on the floor with the curtain draped over me, towel rack still in hand. I awaited the rush of pain but I felt perfectly fine. My head was protected by a 12 pack of Charmin!

Hope you heal quickly.

I don't plan on taking a week off. I rescheduled with sat-sun details and I'll wait till mon to see how I feel. In the mean time the percocets are nice lol
