Wow yesterday we had a lot of heavy rain and lighting in northern Fla....and it knock out our internet modern...I picked up a new one at their store....tried to install their App....no luck....finally called there Tech service and it took an hour to finally get the new modern connected...LOL now having my 5 o'clock southern comfort a little earlier...

Years ago we had a nearby lightning strike which hit close enough to energize some of the cable company lines in the ground leading to our house. Cooked the modem and at least one TV box. Did all sorts of funny things to both devices that confused even the Tier 3 tech support guys. After two days and at least three visits to the house they just gave up and replaced all the devices.
