I have a few vehicles scheduled to detail in the next week. My city just instituted a "temporary" watering ban with few exceptions. I have always wanted to try ONR, so I just ordered it from Autogeek.

For those of you who use it.. what are the pros and cons?

i believe you still need to pre-rinse off the vehicle of larger sand and dust before using a touch method to wash it off.

pros - great stuff. Love it in winter but like stated before if you have alot of junk on your paint do a pre wash (winter I go to the car wash and use the do it yourself bay and spray it off)

Cons - none that I have found other than I can wash my truck more in the winter and it gets a little cold in the garage :)

At Clay Lub strength in a 32oz bottle I found it to be weak and not slippery enough.

Other than that I always put a cap full in my wash bucket, foam gun, etc etc. Its very versatile and besides that one con for me its probably one of the most useful item for me besides OPC.

with a water ban u wont be able to do a pre rinse. that would make me nervous. stock up on some good microfibers. i have yet to use a rinseless wash.

No real cons.
A "pro" that you don't hear much is a capful in your regular wash bucket seems to cut down water spotting.

How would it cut down water spotting if you wash all the soap off and rinse with regular water from the hose?

I'm not sure how it works. It seems to work as advertised. This is from AG's ONR page:
"Add 1 ounce to wash water made with your regular car wash. No Rinse Wash & Shine’s advanced polymers and lubricants offer more surface protection and slickness than ordinary car soap alone. It acts as a water softener and conditioner to improve the quality of the water that touches your vehicle to provide the ultimate safe wash."

Gonz,
When do you expect your order to be in? I can give you a few ounces to try out. I am in Clinton.

The water from the hose in the bucket can spot due to the mineral content. ONR acts as a water softener, encapsulating these particles prior to them ending up on the paint.

Use it everyday on the Vette to get the dust off and it really adds a nice gloss and shine. Great product!!

I love me some ONR. I love a product that has multiple uses and this is one of them. I too find the clay bar lube ratio to little and I end up doubling it but other than that, it's a great product

I also use a capful in every wash bucket and it does in fact cut down on the spotting possibility especially in the hot months. How who knows it's a miracle to me as it just does.
