SO about a year and a half ago, I got my portercable starter kit with some WG total swirl remover and finishing glaze. i just made another order and thought it was time to step up to some good products rather then my pretty much useless Meg's nxt 2.0 and autozone garbage. I have a BMW so wheel cleaning stuff was the number one priority next to the sealant because of major brake dust. Probably going to make another order soon to see what else I need. Autogeek is going to make me grow broke... and the one thing I can complain about it their outrageous shipping rates. Will only be purchasing when their is free shipping

heres my order list! :buffing:

Really nice starter list you have there.

The new 3 series (LCI) as yours dosent have the horrible brake dust problem as the early 3 series (Pre LCI).

Looking forward to seeing your pictures and thread.

Yeah its not as bad, My wheels are just awful to clean though. I have 10 spokes and to get in and around in the barrels is just a pain. Really want to switch to an open spoke design like the style 313's but 4-5k is a little much.

I feel you with the dusting problem! My AMG's brakes dust up enough to change the wheel from grey to straight black. In my experience though, the worst are G-Wagens oddly.

The daytona is really going to help along with the Sonax :xyxthumbs:

Also take a look at getting a raceglaze horse hair brush. On wheels with lots of spokes, it really speeds up the process!

Nice order though!

I have the same wheels on my wifes wagon. Those are no where near as bad to clean as the ones on my sedan. Count your blessings lol.

personally, I would have gone with some good apc from zep. Sonax is very expensive The daytona wheel brush is excellent. Nice 15 percent savings =)

Im going to try Sonax to get this brake dust embedded in the the clear coat on my rims. I have tried clay with little success and im out of ideas except either heavy duty compound or Meg's wheel brightener if the Sonax does not work. Got anymore suggestions?

Yeah, switch to a low dust pad and OptiCoat you wheels. This will reduce 90% of the dust (and 90 % of the work ). One of the best ways to keep your BMW nice. I can't tell you how much easier its been since I did that, also I had the wheels refinished to get rid of all the break dust damage.

Less dust equals less braking power. Otherwise I would do it. My pressure washer has helped make the job a lot easier.

Order just got in. Really want to try the products tomorrow but it's going to rain tomorrow. Oh well, I will wait till friday. Lugnut brush got separated for some reason and is coming in tomorrow. Ended up going with BF eclipse gel instead of pinnacle black onyx. The sample is WG leather conditioner. Where do I store my LSP's like BFWD? I keep all of my detailing supplies but where do the LSP's go?
