I picked up AG's Foam Cannon HP last year but have only recently purchased a Karcher K2.28 electric pressure washer (got it for cheap from WM). Specs include 1550 PSI and 1.3GPM.

First off, is this washer strong enough to use with the foam cannon? I have heard different things about needing a certain minimum GPM to generate a satisfactory amount of foam.

Second, if this washer is strong enough, then is it also compatible with the foam cannon? And if it is, then which of the 2 Karcher fittings will I need?

Thanks for any input you all can give.

well first off good luck with the Karcher lasting more than a "season". I've gone thru 2 and neither one lasted more than a year. Secondly Karcher makes a cheap foam attachment (I ordered from their website and had it shipped) that works great and is the only reason why I bought the second Karcher to replace the first one. I don't think you can put a foam cannon on the end of the Karcher because of the end being different but I could be wrong... or you may have to get a different hose...

I've read some bad things about Karcher units, but I must say everyone that I have used has always performed perfectly.

Is the 1550 PSI unit strong enough? Check out the video on the bottom of this page.
Wolfgang Foam Cannon HP, foam lance, car wash foamer, pressure washer foam gun

That foam cannon is fitted to an electric 1600 psi pressure washer, looks like it did good to me :) Now I would imagine that the more PSI you have the thicker the foam will be, but in the above video it looks fine to me.

You will need the Karcher K series adapter.

Give that pressure washer away and get a Honda GX series motor with a Cat Pump for your pressure washer combo. Those Karchers are garbage, in fact almost anything you can buy at a chain retail store is not meant to last. Expect to pay around $1000 for a real commercial pressure washer that will last a VERY long time and work great. As far as the foam attachment I cannot give my opinion. My shop is in FL and the soap would dry too fast to use a foamer. Good luck.
