I was just reading up on this PW I was going to buy. mostly because of the self priming but I just read a lot of bad reviews.

Most said it would cycle on and off after a few uses and loose pressure.

Others said it always tips over and breaks the quick connect.

The last few said it stopped working completely after a few uses.

The tipping over I'm sure I can manage but if I were to buy it online I would not want to have to worry about returning it.

Anyone that has these units. Is it a good unit ??

Another thing I couldn't find. Does it let you change attachments on the fly or would you have to get a quick connect system setup for the wand?

Thank you.

I have a K 2.360. Its over a year old and it has been 100% trouble free. On the Karcher K series, the foam cannon replaces the wand via an adapter. You twist off the wand and twist on a cannon. Takes a second.

This is why I got a Kranzle. The odds just seemed to be too low. Many like theirs but if it did die you would get a refurbished one even under warranty.

I use the Karcher 5.740 and it's absolutely amazing. I have 0 complaints about noise when washing at residential homes. I pressure wash decks on the side and it's awesome. I changed out the plastic hose attachment right away ($12) and it only tips over when im trying to reel in the hose to fast and I'm not paying attention =)

I use it steadily 4 days a week, 4-6 hours a day and it's fine.

Never had a problem with Karcher. Had the base K2.080 for years & it's still going now.

Now have the K5.650 (which is very similar to the 5.740) & have had no problems. It can be a little top-heavy so you need to take care when pulling hose off the reel but that's about it... Otherwise they're a great unit! Changing attachments is very easy

I have always had good luck with Karchers. My first lasted over 5 years and I am on my 3rd year with my second.

I have that pw and yes I tipped it over and broke the plastic quick connect but I replaced it with brass and never had a issue since. I think it is a very good pw for the price

If it does break, you can't beat Karchers rapid exchange program. Make sure to register it when you get it and keep your receipt. If anything goes wrong in the first year, call them up, fill out a form, cut off you electric cord and send it to them. In about a week you get a new PW. I've owned 3 and had to do this once, it's more of a hassle to write out the steps then to actually do.

I may be slow, but I do poor work.

Bringing back the dead, but after a year with the K5.740 and at least 100 hours on it, it's a beast and I love it.
